| All fossils here were posted on e-bay and came from the mountains from Dominican Republic (+30 million years old). Many of the amber containing fossils sold from Dominican Republic are fake. It's sometimes hard to tell from just looking at the photos posted on e-bay which are real and which are not. Make your own judgements. |
| An amazing specimen - 30 to 35 million years old - still completely covered with skin and highly visible within a well polished amber nugget. Each limb and foot are clearly seen as is the entire animal from both the obverse and reverse. The animal itself is completely colorless, the amber has UV fluorescence. Length of lizard = 41 mm, largest amber dimension = 64 mm, and weight = 32.23 grams. |
